My experience in Switzerland
I traveled around Switzerland for over 2 weeks during my honeymoon and explored several diverse regions, including Bern, Zermatt, Lauterbrunnen, Lucerne, Zurich, and more.
Despite Switzerland being a small country, each canton (similar to a state in the U.S.) has its own unique cultural features, customs, and traditions – and sometimes even language. So, as you can imagine, you can get a very different experience depending on where you go.
You get more of a bustling city feel with Zurich, Geneva, and Bern (the capital of Switzerland). While the Bernese Oberland region, including Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Mürren, and Wengen, provides you with small picturesque mountain villages that are likely the pictures you see when you search for “Switzerland”.
No matter where you visit, you’ll get to experience the beauty and charm of Switzerland that sets it apart. It’s truly one of my favorite countries I’ve ever visited!
